Digital Logic — question 8 of 10
Write a real answer. It is graded against the question's rubric, and the mastery movement is computed by the same engine the product uses. Scoring here is deterministic rather than model-written, so this page costs nothing to run and nothing is saved. In a track built from your own posting, the same rubric is graded by the model, which is what produces feedback about your reasoning rather than about coverage.
Both flip-flops are clocked from the same source with negligible skew reported between them; the combinational logic between them is very short (close to zero delay).
A static timing analysis report on a small synchronous design shows a hold violation of 0.15 ns on a path between two flip-flops that share the same clock net -- setup timing on every path looks comfortable with plenty of margin. Explain what a hold violation actually means physically for this path, why raising or lowering the clock frequency won't fix it, and one concrete way you'd fix it.
