RF & Wireless — question 10 of 10

Write a real answer. It is graded against the question's rubric, and the mastery movement is computed by the same engine the product uses. Scoring here is deterministic rather than model-written, so this page costs nothing to run and nothing is saved. In a track built from your own posting, the same rubric is graded by the model, which is what produces feedback about your reasoning rather than about coverage.

A realistic bench task after a VNA sweep reveals a poorly matched antenna port.

You've measured your antenna's input impedance on a VNA at 2.4GHz as 15 - j40 ohms -- noticeably mismatched and reactive relative to the 50-ohm system. You need to design a matching network to bring VSWR close to 1:1 at that frequency. Walk through how you'd choose and design an L-network for this, then discuss the tradeoff between matching bandwidth and network Q as you tighten the match -- why can't you get both a perfect match and wide bandwidth at the same time?

How sure are you?

Being confidently wrong costs more mastery than admitting a guess — that is deliberate, and it is how misconceptions get found.

Neither is graded, and nothing here is recorded.
