PCB Design — question 8 of 10
Write a real answer. It is graded against the question's rubric, and the mastery movement is computed by the same engine the product uses. Scoring here is deterministic rather than model-written, so this page costs nothing to run and nothing is saved. In a track built from your own posting, the same rubric is graded by the model, which is what produces feedback about your reasoning rather than about coverage.
This is a pre-fab schematic review; the board is otherwise fully designed and ready to send to layout.
You're reviewing a schematic before it goes to layout. The MCU's RESET pin connects to a push-button to ground and a 0.1uF capacitor to ground for debounce, but there's no external pull-up resistor to VCC anywhere on that net. The MCU's datasheet says RESET has an internal weak pull-up that is 'typically enabled' but gives no guaranteed minimum pull-up current or resistance in the electrical characteristics table. Would you sign off on this schematic as-is? What's your reasoning?
